Traditional Land Acknowledgement

Spruce Products Limited acknowledges our forest management activities take place on treaty 2, treaty 4 and treaty 5 territories. This region is the ancestral homeland of many Indigenous populations and the Red River Métis. We respect the spirit and intent of these treaties and will continue our ongoing efforts to engage in forestry operations in a collaborative and sustainable fashion. Spruce products is committed to partnering with Indigenous communities to expand knowledge concerning the rights of Indigenous peoples and the responsibilities of businesses conducting industrial operations on traditional lands. It is important to note that a traditional land acknowledgement is only a small part of developing strong relationships with these communities. We are dedicated to fostering a positive environment focused on collaboration, innovation, and sustainability. These goals will be achieved not only through our statements but with efforts in community involvement, socially responsible practices, and through recognition and respect of Indigenous Peoples’ rights and traditional forest-related knowledge.
